Studio Intern

We are looking to hire an audio intern at our recording studio, as well as for the occasional live sound gig, who is interested in pursuing a audio mixing and recording career. The right candidate would be honest, healthy (read: be able to help move heavy gear when necessary), hard working and dependable, have transportation, a great sense of humor, available a few nights and weekends and most importantly, a strong willingness to learn, retain and apply knowledge in a creative environment. The right candidate will hopelessly addicted to music in the form of everything from heavy rock, indie rock, funk, blues, jazz, techno and metal to cajun, country, bluegrass and more, constantly expanding musical knowledge. You'll be exposed to a wide variety and it’s important you can see the good in a most forms of music.

Duties would be everything from taking out trash and keeping the studio and equipment neat and clean, to assisting in recording, maintaining equipment, as well as assisting and engineering on live sound dates. On occasion, it pays as well, and for the right person, could turn into a steady part time job.
