Mastering

The final step between your mix and the listener. Done right.

What mastering actually does

Mastering is not loudness maximization. That is a side effect of bad mastering. What mastering does: it gives your mix a final pass through a separate, calibrated set of ears and a different signal chain - catching tonal problems that become invisible when you have been working in the same session for days, ensuring the dynamics that give the track life are preserved while the loudness numbers hit their targets, and delivering files that translate correctly across every playback system your audience uses.

AI mastering tools do one of these things reasonably well: loudness targeting. They cannot hear what your mix is actually reaching for, recognize a reference, catch a problem in the low end that only shows on a full-range system, or make the judgment call that protects the emotional content of a track while still competing on streaming platforms.

That is what we do.

The signal chain

Premium mastering runs through a vintage Soundcraft analog console with Burr-Brown electronics, outboard dynamics and EQ from SSL, Empirical Labs Distressors, DBX, Valley People, and Symetrix, and 24 channels of RME conversion. Five reference monitoring systems - JBL and Yamaha - in an acoustically treated room.

This is not a plugin emulation of an analog chain. It is the hardware. The Distressors in the chain are the same units that appear on major-label records. The RME conversion is the same class used in world-class mastering facilities. The monitoring room is calibrated.

At the software end: iZotope Ozone for digital mastering processing, IK Multimedia T-RackS, and a reference library of 10,000+ commercial masters across every genre we work in.

How it works

Purchase and schedule

Choose your tier and complete checkout. Instant mastering activates your upload link immediately. Premium mastering activates your session date selector.

Upload your mix

WAV or AIFF at your session's native sample rate and bit depth. Do not normalize or limit the master bus before sending. Leave us headroom. Include any reference tracks you want us to work toward.

Receive your master

Your master lands in your client dashboard, download-ready. WAV and MP3 as standard. DDP for vinyl or CD production on request. Revision notes go through the same dashboard.

What we deliver

  • Loudness normalized to platform spec - Spotify -14, Apple -16, YouTube -14, Broadcast -23 LUFS
  • True peak limited to -1 dBTP (or platform-specific requirement)
  • Stereo width preserved and enhanced where appropriate
  • Tonal balance referenced against your target and your genre
  • Mid/side processing where the track calls for it
  • Dynamics that serve the track, not just the loudness meter
  • DDP master for vinyl or CD production on request
  • Vinyl-cut-optimized version with phase check and low-frequency treatment
