The New Yorker

Most compressors turn things down. The New Yorker glues things together. Drop it across a bus and the first thing you notice isn’t gain reduction, it’s cohesion — the kick and the bass start breathing on the same cycle, the vocal sits inside the track instead of on top of it. Simply enabling it adds harmonic weight you feel before you can name it.

Stereo, Dual, or Mid-Side

Three modes, three different relationships between Channel A and Channel B. Stereo links both channels for classic linked bus glue. Dual runs them fully independent — separate threshold, attack, release, ratio, saturation, and output per side. Mid-Side compresses the center and the width of your stereo field separately. Link ties both channels together the instant you want everything moving as one.

New York Compression, Named Appropriately

The Mix knob blends the fully compressed signal against the untouched dry signal, per channel — the classic New York technique for punch and dynamics in the same breath.

Eight Factory Presets

• Subtle Glue — light-touch cohesion
• Bus Glue — the default answer for gluing a bus
• Vocal Warmth, Drum Bus Punch, Master Bus Glue
• Aggressive Pump — both needles buried
• Parallel Squash — hard compression with transients kept alive via Mix
• Wide M-S Glue — tight center, open sides

Dual VU Meters

Switch between GR (gain reduction) and OUT (output level) per the Meters toggle — real analog-calibrated ballistics, not a peak-hold digital readout.
