Four Compressors Built for the Source, Not the Bus.
Not every compressor is trying to glue a mix together. Sometimes you need something built to sit on a single source and do one job with real character. The Character Compressor Collection gives you four of those, and no two of them get there the same way.
The Black Clamp is JFET - fast transients, harmonic color, and the kind of natural glue that made this topology famous, run dual independent or linked.
The Mad Scientist is parallel RMS with a tube input stage - drive it and the tubes light up, back off and it cleans up, blended back against the dry signal for parallel compression that stays musical at any setting.
Dualtronix is opto leveling with two fully independent channels, Auto Level, and a genuine Comp/Limit switch - a different opto circuit and a different tonal signature than the other opto leveler in this bundle.
Leveler Control is the other opto leveler, LA-2A-style, differentiated by Auto Gain Match - flip it on and the output holds steady while you dial in Peak Reduction, so you hear the compression, not the volume.

The Black Clamp
Fast, Punchy, Forward.
A dual-channel FET compressor built on classic JFET gain-reduction topology - fast transients, harmonic color, and natural glue. Link for stereo, run independently for dual mono, or flip to M/S for bus and mastering work.
The Mad Scientist
Parallel Compression With a Tube Heart.
A parallel RMS compressor with even-order harmonic saturation baked into the input stage. Drive the input and the tubes light up. Fixed 4:1 ratio keeps it musical, and the Mix knob blends compressed against dry at any setting.
Dualtronix
Two Independent Opto Channels.
A dual-channel opto leveling amplifier - two fully independent channels, Auto Level, and a genuine Comp/Limit switch. Its own opto circuit gives it a tonal signature distinct from the other leveler in this collection.
Leveler Control
Hear the Compression, Not the Volume.
An LA-2A-style opto leveler with Auto Gain Match - flip it on and the output holds steady while you dial in Peak Reduction, so you're hearing the character of the compression instead of just more volume.
