Speaker Breaker and Velvet Crush do the same fundamental job in opposite registers. Both monitor real frequency bands against the overall signal in real time. Both correct automatically the moment something starts dominating. Neither one is an EQ, a limiter, or a gate pretending to be smarter than it is - they're spectral balance checks, watching a part of the frequency range you're not always watching yourself.
Speaker Breaker lives in the low end. Sub, kick, bass, and upper bass are tracked independently, and whichever one starts pushing too far forward gets pulled back into proportion, automatically, without you riding a fader.
Velvet Crush lives up top. Presence, edge, clarity, sparkle, air, and ultra are tracked the same way, catching harshness before it sets in rather than after you've already flinched at it.
Run them together and the entire spectrum has something watching it - the bottom staying honest, the top staying smooth, and the middle left alone to do whatever it wants.

Speaker Breaker
Speaker Breaker monitors five low-frequency bands - sub, kick, bass, upper bass, and mid - relative to the overall signal, and automatically corrects when any one of them dominates the mix. Not a limiter. A spectral balance check that keeps the bottom in proportion regardless of how loud you push it.
Velvet Crush
Velvet Crush monitors six high-frequency bands - presence, edge, clarity, sparkle, air, and ultra - relative to the overall signal and corrects when presence or air pulls too far forward. Harshness gets removed before it sets in, not after.
