Due Process
Due Process is a compressor with four complete compressors running at once, Channel 1, Channel 2, Mid and Side, each with its own FET, Opto, Vari-Mu or VCA character, its own Input, Makeup, Mix and Output, its own Auto-Level and its own gain-reduction meter. We looked for one that did this. We couldn't find it, so we built it. Every channel gets its day in court.
- Four compressors. One pass. No modes. Left, right, mid and side are not settings you switch between here. All four run at the same time, each with a complete compressor of its own.
- A different character on every row. FET, Opto, Vari-Mu or VCA, chosen row by row. Fast FET on the center, smooth Opto on the sides, VCA holding the left and right together.
- Squeeze it, then remix it. Every row has its own Input, Makeup, Mix and Output. Set how hard each row gets hit, then put the balance back where you want it. Auto-Level keeps the loudness matched so you judge the compression and not the volume.
- Nothing hidden. A gain-reduction meter on every row, a Delta button that plays only what the compression is removing, a sidechain high-pass on each row, and a Link that shares the detector so the stereo image holds still.
