Records Were Never Flat on the Way In or the Way Out.

Cutting a disc calls for one frequency response; playing it back calls for the corresponding inverse. Use the wrong playback curve and the music can sound like someone rearranged the furniture while you were out.

Vinyl Flooring gives you five of those equalization standards in one plugin: RIAA, Columbia LP, NAB, AES, and Decca/FFRR 1951. Use it for record transfers, for preparing a signal that needs a particular curve, or simply because a century of audio engineering left us some interesting shapes to play with.

Five Curves. Two Directions. Zero Archaeology Required.

Select a standard, choose Direction, and watch the live curve reshape as you turn Amount. Real PRE/POST spectrum overlays show what's actually happening to your audio, not an abstract graphic sitting next to it.

Lay It Down. Bring It Back.

Two True Mathematical Inverses, Not Two Guesses.

Select a standard, then choose Direction. Encode applies that curve in the recording direction; Decode applies the matching playback response. The two directions are designed as mathematical inverses of the same curve, so you can move between them without trying to approximate one side with a generic EQ.

  • Curve Standard - RIAA, Columbia LP, NAB, AES, Decca/FFRR 1951
  • Direction - Encode and Decode, true inverses of the same network
  • Amount - Scales the curve itself, 0% flat to 100% full strength

Look at the Curve. Listen to the Difference.

Amount Is the Curve. Mix Is the Blend.

Amount changes the strength of the selected curve at every frequency - a coherent, smaller curve at every setting, never a blend of flat and curved signal. Mix takes a different route: it blends the processed audio with the dry signal, which matters under a minimum-phase filter where the two aren't interchangeable. The EQ Visualization panel shows the selected curve's response live, with real PRE and POST spectrum overlaid underneath.

  • Mix - Separate dry/processed blend, applied after Amount
  • EQ Visualization - Live curve display with PRE/POST spectrum overlay
  • Delta - Audition the difference between input and result directly
