Hold Engage and the last slice of your audio repeats, let go and the dry signal comes straight back. The slice length is Rate, from a 1/4 note down to a 1/32 including triplets, synced to the host, or free from 5 to 500 ms, and the Rate readout shows the note value or the milliseconds.
Mode picks what happens to the slice. Stutter loops it, Reverse plays it backward, Gate chops the live signal on and off once per slice, and Crush quantizes to 6 bits and drops the sample rate, with Rate setting how coarse. One mode at a time, no routing, nothing to patch.
Chaos is for when you don't want to play it. At zero nothing fires by itself, turn it up and glitches trigger on their own, randomly, a stutter now and then at low settings and a barrage at the top. No MIDI, no key mapping, everything is a regular automatable parameter. Mix blends the glitch against the dry signal and Output trims it by plus or minus 12 dB.

Slice and Mode
The slice is captured the instant you press Engage, the last stretch of audio before the button, and every mode works on it. Stutter and Reverse loop the captured slice with a short fade at each seam so the repeats don't click, Gate opens for the first half of each slice and closes for the second, and Crush holds samples and quantizes to 6 bits, with slower rates crushing harder.
Chaos and Triggers
Chaos is 0 to 100 percent. Each time a slice length goes by there's a chance a glitch fires, and the chance rises steeply with the knob, so low settings give you the odd fill and the top gives you a barrage. Each glitch lasts one to four slices and then the dry signal returns. It keeps running while you're not holding Engage, so you can play over it.
Watch It Work
Two LED strips show what's happening. Slice shows where you are inside the repeating slice and is lit while a glitch is active, and Trigger flashes full the instant a glitch fires and fades away. The Rate readout shows the note value or the milliseconds, and the stereo VU reads the output level.
Color and Presets
The Color knob changes the whole faceplate to any hue, fluorescent green by default, and it's a preference saved on your machine, not part of a preset or a session. Power Off turns the faceplate dark and passes the audio through untouched.
Ten factory presets plus Default are starting points, Subtle Stutter, Triplet Stammer, Reverse Slice, Hat Gate, Crush Fill, Chaos Light, Chaos Heavy, Quarter Stab, Fast Roll and Backwards Bar, and A/B, Save, Save As, Copy, Delete, Import and Export handle your own. The window resizes and remembers its size.
