Guitars and keys sit around the vocal, not on top of it.
Thunderbuss Instruments runs Clear first - a dynamic low-mid cut that digs in only when the bus gets thick - then a bus compressor to glue the parts together, and Sheen for a gentle high-shelf with light saturation so the top end sits silky, not brittle. A brickwall limiter keeps the ceiling in check.
The third Thunderbuss bus processor, free, built for the guitar or keys bus specifically.

Watch the Limiter Hold the Line.
Switch the meter to VU and the needle reads output peak against the limiter's ceiling. Flip to GR and watch the compressor glue the bus instead.

Dynamic, Not a Static EQ Cut
Clear watches a band around 250-400 Hz and cuts into it dynamically as that energy builds, instead of carving a fixed EQ notch that's always there whether the bus needs it or not. A compressor with the sidechain high-passed at 120 Hz glues everything together behind it.
Silky, Not Brittle
Sheen runs a fixed high-shelf with a light, fixed-drive saturation applied only to the boosted top end - so pushing it adds air and silk instead of brightening and hardening the whole signal. One knob, the same character every time, built to sit guitars and keys around a vocal instead of fighting it.
