Tube Character
Turn up Input Gain to bring out the richness of the tube stage, then use Threshold to shape how firmly the compression takes hold. Add a gentle layer of warmth, build a denser vocal or give drums a thick, assertive push.
Musical Timing
The six-position Time Constant selector shapes how the compression catches and releases the sound. Four fixed timing combinations offer distinct responses, while two program-dependent settings adapt their recovery to the material. Listen for the setting that gives your performance the right sense of movement.
VU Metering
Each channel has an analog-style VU meter with Input, Output and Gain Reduction views. Check your levels, watch the compression move and keep the amount of processing right where you want it.
Stereo and Mid/Side
Left/Right mode gives each stereo channel its own compression. Mid/Side lets you work separately on the center and the stereo difference, opening up useful ways to shape the focus and feel of a mix. Engage Link for coordinated compression, with both channels responding together.
Mix, Output and Auto-Level
Per-channel Mix controls make parallel compression part of the panel. Push the compression for sustain and texture, then blend in just enough to give the performance extra body. Set the finished level with Output, or engage Auto-Level for automatic makeup gain as you adjust the compression.
